Peter:
[0:00] And hello and welcome back to a very special episode of the Inspirational Soul Podcast where I've actually finally managed to nail down some time to have both Nick and Dania, on the podcast at the same time.
Peter:
[0:17] Oh my God, it's like Christmas has come early, but no, technically Christmas comes in October because we will all be in the same physical room together helping an awesome bunch of people at the Inspirational Soul Summit. But guys, welcome back. So nice to have you both here at the same time.
Danya:
[0:34] Thanks for having us.
Nick:
[0:36] Yes. Thank you.
Peter:
[0:37] That's okay. And I'm trying to keep a straight face because if you haven't heard any of the conversation pre-recording, I think, you know, you would think this is a very different type of channel, very different type of podcast. But, you know, if you come to the room in October, we might let you in on that, conversation if you're there.
Danya:
[0:57] I don't know about that conversation, but yeah.
Peter:
[0:59] But you've got to love it. I love it when you can have that. We were literally in tears laughing just before we hit the record button and we thought we better be responsible adults and record this before the day gets away with us. But it's beautiful. Now, this whole thing is like what we're kind of leading up to as if you've been joining us and listening to the previous episodes, you'll know that we're really looking at the remembering. So, Dunya, Nick and myself, we've kind of come together and we've really started to look at what we wanted to do with this particular summit. And this is a big thing. We've kind of individually, we've had a chance to speak, but I wanted to take a different angle here today, guys. And I'm actually letting you all who are listening or watching, like letting you know, just kind of throwing them a little bit under the bus here. They've got no warning what's coming at them, but it shouldn't be too hard because I trust these beautiful souls. No. But the beautiful thing is we've all got our own unique kind of perspectives and skill sets and how like the people that worlds were revolving in and working with. Danielle I want to start with you like your background is really amazing and unique because when we look at it like a lot of people don't know your journey.
Peter:
[2:10] And where you come from and like the beautiful thing is like you've actually really lived, the journey of going all in doing the full study getting into like you know high performance athletes working in those centers working with Olympic athletes, really helping them to prime themselves to get the most out of themselves.
Peter:
[2:31] But even through that, you were also noticing something was shifting and there was things about self and that kind of led you onto a different path. And it's interesting because that actually lends itself really well to what we're kind of feeling. But I want to bring you in here in that kind of level and that perspective of your journey where you've kind of come from and where the world is now. Where are you seeing like through your world, through your work and the current world? What are you seeing through all of that? what is like you know what is the world or what are some people really.
Danya:
[3:04] Needing uh.
Peter:
[3:06] At this particular point in time.
Danya:
[3:09] Uh this it's gonna sound corny or like we're plugging it but it's, i'm seeing more and more now people are remembering on a deeper level it's almost like the second wave i don't know if you've seen it a lot online where it's like my comeback era or i'm like getting back into my whimsy i'm just getting back into myself and so, i've seen a couple waves of this my experienced myself with like you mentioned the Olympic career building that whole identity and like all of your sunken costs in terms of a degree time money investment, board exams multiple teams to just walk away and, walk away in the sense of following your soul path now I'm seeing people who are or have built great success same thing they're just like having this awakening process of like they thought this was it and it's, not that it's wrong or bad but more so just it doesn't feel like their soul path anymore or that they really built their soul path so it's this, beautiful reckoning which feels very scary as fuck for a lot of people because they're like what do you mean, i thought this was it and i thought this was my person my job my business my career my topic my niche whatever it might be and yet there's this.
Danya:
[4:16] It happened around 2020 obviously with covid hitting and the big like mind fuck of i thought my job was my safety and my security and you're Like, well, nope, your tenure at the university, it said that's not the case, even though you're promised that. I almost am seeing this other awakening happen again with people just really questioning things questioning themselves obviously you can speak more to like the deeper energetics and astrology around that but it is that it's just this, this i would say more from a refining lens of people really questioning what do i want why do i want this is this mine or someone else's, and actually having the courage to ask the question but then the courage to listen and have conviction to step into a different path or a different way of doing something even though it makes no logical sense even though it's scary, even though they can't name it or articulate it. It's like something's just pulling me deeper towards that direction and I'm going to start listening to it more and more. So in my own personal experience and working with people, it's just more and more people waking up to who they actually are. And for some people, it looks like a drastic pivot change. For other people, it's just like a refinement of doing the same thing, but their felt experience of life and their business and their partnerships is drastically different.
Peter:
[5:24] I love that because it's that felt experience that you're kind of going through and I think that's a really important thing I know that I can relate to it and I'll bring you in here in a second Nick because this definitely connects to yourself and your story but as you were saying there Dania it was more about like how you're saying, you're working with these people even people who have got the success or got the success in business or whatever level they're at and then they're kind of going but hang on is is this it is this really where I want to be is is this the epitome is or I don't know that deeper question of does this define me like those kind of things and I know that over the last three years but more specifically like the last 12 months there's been a big shift around that you know we were talking a little bit pre-record there on a more serious note even myself going hang on what's going on here like where am I shifting from where we're shifting to is this right so there is some deeper elements around that and that identity, And that's where I love it too because, Nick, you've felt that probably at one of the most iconic levels, I suppose, and that's bringing in back to your story. Because that's what I mean. You're super creative. You're in the talent, like the cinematography, your storytelling, all of that. Plus, you've done such deep work in your earlier years and continue on with the spiritual past as well. But I remember when we had, when I first interviewed, you heard your real story about being there at the Tony Awards, you know, winning the Tony Award.
Peter:
[6:50] And literally going, oh, is that me?
Peter:
[6:55] It's like, you know, so, you know, you're relating to this and that's me. So like taking kind of like from your experience and having like that kind of awakening in yourself from there to even now, what are you sensing and seeing
Peter:
[7:09] compared to then and to now and where things are heading for people?
Nick:
[7:13] Yeah, you know, I have a mastermind group that I run, and I'm watching every single one of them without a doubt or question. Every one of them is in some form of a transition or a transformation. And what we've been talking quite a bit about is that it's actually in many ways like we say a remembering or returning but it's actually even more than that it's an integration, because it's not that you are just merely returning to who you were before you're returning in a new way with so much that you have collected shifted grown, you know changed in the on the path and And tools, ideas, talents that you've gained, garnered, earned, learned are fully being integrated into whether it's your business or whether it's your relationships or, whatever way we were talking about it. So what I'm seeing is this deeper level of integrating in those that are being conscious on the path and aware of how they're shifting.
Peter:
[8:23] And so, for anyone who's listening, because I know and I can relate to what both of you are talking about, and I love that because it's integration. And as you were saying that, Nick, I'm there going, oh, yeah, wow, absolutely. I'm finding myself of taking a lot of the stagecraft and a lot of the knowledge I've earned over the last decade. But now I'm in the remembering of actually bringing back or connecting back to my younger self and integrating that with what I've learned. So, it's almost like probably the best way to describe it is almost like there's two significant chapters of my life. There's that earlier part and then all of a sudden there's this real super kind of career focused part. And now they're kind of like we're at this point in the journey and they're going, okay, them by themselves, they're okay, but it's not working. We need both to integrate in some shape or form.
Nick:
[9:19] Well, and you bitches are way younger than I am and so consequently, I've got more than two parts.
Peter:
[9:26] You're like, the first part of my life and this is the first part of my life.
Nick:
[9:29] I'm like, what about part three and four, bitches? I've got to integrate all that shit.
Danya:
[9:33] I live like 20 million lifetimes in my short period.
Nick:
[9:37] That's true old soul old soul old souls we're all old souls in the room there is that part too, but yes you're not wrong and that it's also it's like also these younger parts of yourself that you're bringing the integration it's not just what you've learned in the last 10 years it's really taking all that the essence of who you have always been with who you've grown to be and who you're meant to be.
Peter:
[10:01] Yeah and it's interesting when we look at that and this we're going to bring it back to both of you. When we're looking at this, because I know we're going to work a lot on this and we have talked, we've had many wonderful deep conversations about this and it's about looking at all these facets of ourselves and bringing them back into the now. You're finding like, you know, when I look at it and go, you know, you're seeing people and you're like, Nick, you're in your mastermind, Daniel, I know you're with your clients and stuff. Are you seeing this in real life time, like around that specific aspect about bringing some of that younger or like it's almost like a true self. And I feel like for me personally, that's where like that kind of remembering is kind of coming from because we've kind of, I think we forget or we push down, that part of ourselves to an extent. So, Daniel, are you seeing any of like that integration aspect?
Danya:
[10:54] Big time. And like in my world, we call it unfuck with a bull in the sense of everyone takes those like, oh, I'm like raw. And I'm like, no, you're just, you don't give a fuck as much anymore. You're grounded in who you are. You're grounded in what you've learned, what you've known, where you're growing. You're grounded in knowing that there's, there's always unknown and uncertainty in front of you. So you're just, you're more content and at peace being with the moment in each day versus like having to try and force and figure it out. And oh my God, it's just this, this feeling of inner peace and fulfillment with what is versus trying to make it what needs to be what i thought it should be what i was it's just like.
Danya:
[11:31] It's just that and why i love what you were saying too nick of like the bringing back that childlike aspect of it or integrating it it is that because once it's integrated it becomes annoying, and when you truly remember and you know who you are at your deep core soul level, the outside the chaos the change the tools none of that actually matters. And when you get to that place of, I call unfuck with a bowl, how you relate to life, how you move through life, how you choose your decisions, everything around gets rearranged around you. And I think I'm sure you guys have seen this too. You're just seeing more aliveness come out as people, you know, like people are feeling more alive. It's like, oh yeah, I don't have to wear this mask or this coat or this thing, or my interest is always in it this way and like, fuck this, but I'm really funny. And I swear you're just seeing that self-expression of, the unfuckable nature of who people are at their core coming more to light. And people feel that. They resonate with the authenticity of that. It's like, gone are the corporate days. There's nothing right or wrong about any of these. It's just you're seeing the more nuanced aspects of people and their authenticity coming alive.
Nick:
[12:37] I was on a call today.
Peter:
[12:39] Yeah, sorry, Nick. You go.
Nick:
[12:40] Fight! I was on a call today with a client who has two very, you know, on paper... Passions that don't really come together in any way, right? She's a professional dog trainer, and she has a travel business. And she's been like wrestling with like, how do I make this work? I feel like I'm one or the other. And this idea that, oh, actually, that passion that I have for travel that I've had since I was a kid that I've always wanted to travel the world, doesn't have to be, I don't have to let go of the dog training that I love to do. Also, I can actually find a way to bring it all together in a way that's uniquely me. And I think that's a bit of what we're seeing too, is that people are stepping into a uniquely them, a uniqueness that is their, their personal vibrancy in a way that, I think perhaps in the past, we've all been trying to, like you say, this corporate thing, Dania, of trying to fit into a box or a mask or a way of being that we've been told we were supposed to be. And I think there's been this breakdown in the last however many years of those structures. And now we're rebuilding our own structures. And we're doing this in our own businesses, all three of us sitting on this call.
Peter:
[14:00] Oh, this is like, I'm thinking, I'm listening to this guy. I'm feeling called out there.
Nick:
[14:04] Peter. Are you feeling called out?
Peter:
[14:07] I'm going to call both of you out on this in a minute too, Nick. You're not, you're not.
Nick:
[14:11] I'm calling myself out because I am, I am taking down all the structures. That's what's been happening and rebuilding in a way that's uniquely her business. That's uniquely your business and your life, even more than your business. I said to her, what's fun. What part of these businesses are fun for you? Let's focus on that. Let's focus on the fun and the adventure that you want to have because she was, she's not a young human, not dissimilar to myself. And I said, you know, we've only had how many summers left if you live to average age, like this better be damn fun. Yeah. Right. And I would say that advice to anybody that's younger, get over your damn self and have a good time.
Danya:
[14:50] Seriously. And give yourself permission to like change your mind. Like I'm seeing that. So, it's like, there's no fucking rule book. There's no rule book. Their only rule book is the self-imposed limitations you've learned or adopted or think are there. But they're invisible paradigms. You can smash it any fucking time. I love the fun comments.
Peter:
[15:09] Sorry, would you say, looking at this, I'm just thinking from a perspective of a listener. And, you know, we know and we can kind of sense, hey, look, we've got the self. But then you've got the greater society structures. Like, you know, it's all shifting and forming. But it's like I love when you're saying that, Daniel, like have the courage to make the change, make the choice, and it's okay. But I think it's also through that. Like what would you be saying to someone who says, like because that's me, I get it in my circles, and I'm pretty sure you've heard it in your circles, where you get that person or that client and they're on the verge, but they're just, they're hesitant and they've got that slight fear. Yeah. So if you've got someone going, oh, I know, and it's like I've got this and I know the idea, almost similar, not dissimilar to where your dog trainer travel kind of clients in there you know it's like oh how does this well, if you've got that person in front of you and considering the conversation we're having what would you be wanting to say to that person what would you be your advice like after listening to this they're going oh my god i really understand i'm hearing you guys this makes sense but i'm just like i just i'm, i just don't know and like you know it's gonna just mean that the hesitation
Peter:
[16:19] and that fear what would you be saying so dane we'll start with you on that one.
Danya:
[16:22] First of all you'd be psychotic to not have that like your your brain and body want to keep you to what it knows, homeostasis and if you can just begin to see it that like a pattern it's not who you are but it's just what you've learned, exactly like brushing your teeth or driving a car when you first learn how to drive a car it was especially if you drove standard it was like fuck you learn how to move the car and the rules of the road i didn't do that that's manual standard means manual just during the during the cross the ditch translation there, thank you different side of the car different side of the road i could imagine some listeners going standard what was a standard car like.
Danya:
[17:00] It's standard yes manual so but when you first learned if you go take it like that was overwhelming you didn't know what you were doing and then now all of a sudden you're driving you're like drinking tea you're singing music and you're like how the fuck did i get here so first you're going to separate the mind and body from like, this is me. It's not you. It's an experience you're having. And it'd be very abnormal for you to not have that experience. Why? Your brain and body love the same. The same is the same pattern, the same thought. You're just now being confronted with, oh, wait a second. I have different thoughts and different ideas. And your brain and body is like, what the fuck? I don't know. And it's seeing it as a threat. So I always want to say that first, because there's nothing wrong with you. In fact, that's you being perfectly exactly responding how you're meant to. The power comes into the awareness of that first and then the choice to see it for what it actually is, which is just difference, which is just change to the brain. It's unknown. And for many people, they're looking for security and control and like, I want to know. You can't control anything. You can't control the weather. You couldn't control when that last client came in. We couldn't control the conversation we had pre-podcast.
Danya:
[18:07] The only thing you can control is where you place your attention and intention. That's it. So first, nothing's wrong with you. Second of all, perfectly normal response. The third one is just recognizing, seeing it as difference for, yeah, you're about to do something new, but you've done new things over and over and over again. Take it from the most mundane thing, like learning how to walk, driving a car, brushing your teeth. You're just now putting in the domain of whatever decision you're looking at. And you're not meant to know the whole path. I have so many metaphors coming up, but I want to be mindful of time for Nick.
Nick:
[18:37] Take it, take it, take it.
Danya:
[18:39] Okay, the quick metaphor is.
Nick:
[18:41] I don't have to speak at all.
Danya:
[18:43] I quite love speaking. It's.
Danya:
[18:48] It's knowing that you actually, if you're honest with yourself, there's two things. One, you actually do know what to do. There's the initial whisper and knowing, and then the fear kicks in.
Danya:
[18:58] So first we separate, we know what that fear is. It's just keeping us the same. Two, you're not meant to know the whole path. So the metaphor I always like to use is when I played basketball in high school, we would get on these like yellow, small bus cheese boxes that you would go to your games in. And I remember one time we were going through these really winding roads and the fog was so thick. You couldn't see shit. Like you could see maybe a foot in front of you. At times we had to actually come to a stop and go inch by inch because the fog was so thick. So for some of you right now, you're in really thick fog. But what happens is you can at least see the next inch in front of you, the next one thought, the next one decision. That could be scream at the top of your lungs, put music on and dance, stomp your feet. It doesn't matter. You know one thing in front of you. And just like in that school bus, when you drove an inch forward, what happened? More of the road appeared. Sometimes it's two feet, sometimes it's a mile. But as you move forward clarity is going to help give you that contrast or action is going to help give you that contrast so you actually know what to do you know what's on your heart you know when you say yes and you actually mean no, you have your own inner compass, so now that we kind of dealt with the fear a little bit that's totally normal it's like okay well what's the next one thing I could do, I could research I could look up I could go read I could go test with this one next action and as you take the action more of the road gets revealed more of the road gets revealed so it's not.
Danya:
[20:16] You have to burn all the boats and jump it's maybe you need to work a little bit with dancing and a couple steps at a time maybe you're like fuck no burn the boats I don't want to give myself an option and go that was me that's more of us yeah that's what we get along but you got the matches I've got.
Peter:
[20:31] The lot of.
Danya:
[20:32] Yeah but it comes back to knowing yourself in your own, And the thoughts and feelings you're having are perfectly normal response for, what you're experiencing has changed. But it doesn't mean it's wrong. It doesn't mean stop, turn around. It just means observe and see it for what it is, not for what your brain's making it mean. The last thing I want to say is this. You staying somewhere that you know you're settling in no matter what avenue, business, relationship, friendship, partnership, whatever it is, where you're living, lifestyle, there's a couple of things that can come up for you. There's some part of you that actually secretly benefits from staying where you are.
Danya:
[21:11] And I want you to see the fear and the thoughts and the drama as trying to protect you and keep you to what it knows and keep you safe. So we can recognize it's a fear, but what is it keeping you safe from? What's the benefit that part of you or some of you is getting by staying exactly where you are? And I know consciously you're like, there's no benefit. I want to charge more money and I want to do these things. I want to travel, whatever it is, but there's something. So if you can uncover the root of the unconscious conflict, essentially the patterning that kind of keeps you to what it knows, what's familiar. Maybe it's a learned pattern of something you observe a moment in time you had back in when you're in grade two. It doesn't matter what, but if you ask that question, why do I actually like being here?
Danya:
[21:50] No matter how uncomfortable it is, like why could I, is there a part of me that likes actually being here? Is there a benefit? Is there some funny, like kinky, I like the pain and pressure of this. So I was going to like have the adrenaline hit to like make more money and then release. Okay. The kink comment is from existential kink because there's some type of benefit from you being where you're at. There's some type of protection for staying where you're at. So again, good laughter because it's like, wait a second, pattern interrupt. A kink? What do you mean? I don't like this shit. Maybe you're kinking, you don't know it. Maybe you actually like the pain. Maybe you like the pressure. Maybe you like the stress. In the kink world from Essential Kink, the shadow workbook, it talks about that. So it's how you relate to your experience in a different way. And as you expand your consciousness, which is what we're all doing in our event, as you expand your consciousness, you change your perception. You shift your frequency, you can see more of what's always been around you, but hasn't been available to you yet because you're looking at it through the lens of your current self.
Danya:
[22:45] Nick, your time. Thanks for letting me ramble.
Nick:
[22:49] Here's what I have to say, and it's literally only three words. Amen, Sister Dania.
Danya:
[22:57] Now, you had some really good thoughts. I know you did. Thank you for letting me ramble. Come do it.
Nick:
[23:05] You did not ramble.
Peter:
[23:06] That is not a ramble.
Nick:
[23:08] That was not a ramble. That was very clearly clear and very well articulated. Thank you.
Danya:
[23:14] Thank you for correcting that.
Nick:
[23:16] Yeah.
Peter:
[23:16] And I tell you what, I'm impressed with how you compressed that.
Danya:
[23:20] Well, I know. I'm just like, fact, metaphor. No, no, no.
Peter:
[23:23] I know. I can see your mind going everywhere.
Danya:
[23:26] I know. I'm like, don't teach that.
Peter:
[23:27] You did. And I'm right there with Nick on that. You articulated that. You got that condensed. and you did so well because I'm like, they're going, and if you've, I know, if you're listening to that, you're going, I absolutely picked up what she's putting down.
Danya:
[23:39] Okay.
Peter:
[23:40] Because it's inarticulate there. But I also know, like, Nick, I know you'll listen to that, but I know coming from your, you know, perspective and your unique angle, whereas what would you be wanting to like either add to that or contribute to that?
Nick:
[23:55] What was the question again?
Peter:
[23:57] Good. But I was hoping that you would remember it because I was so intently listening to Dania. I can't ask a question.
Peter:
[24:06] No, it was about if someone, I do remember the question, but it was more a case of like, we've got those clients or we've got those people in our world. They might be listening to our own podcast and stuff and they hear us talk about these things. But then it's just that human nature thing of like, I don't know. And then there's that hesitation. There's that slight fear. And I know, especially in my world, there's so many wonderful, beautiful souls and clients that kind of go, Pete, I'm hearing what you're saying. I just don't know. And they will hold themselves back from what they actually do know and know what they desire or want or wish to go in. So, it's more about helping them to get across that line.
Danya:
[24:43] Hold on.
Peter:
[24:43] Yeah.
Danya:
[24:44] I just, I know, I know. This is like, I'm taking... I want them to understand that they're not holding themselves back. There's some aspect of themselves trying to protect themselves. So in this world, we use a lot of language like self-sabotage. And then there's like shame and guilt around like, oh, fuck, I did it again. I'm self-sabotaging. It's more so you're not actually holding yourself back. You are perfectly performing at the level of consciousness that you have. And you can't have fault for anything you're not aware of. Once you become aware of it, then you're like, okay, bitch, what's going on? Like you know you do this thing but it's just language is so beautiful and important in the sense that it's going to shape your experience of it so, for someone who's like fuck i keep doing this again there's nothing wrong with you you're not doing anything wrong you're not holding yourself back, you're just performing at the exact programming and perception and awareness that you have right now obviously listening to our podcast or coming to our event you're expanding that so then you can do something different but for you to feel like you're doing something wrong is like, the inevitable step that you're never going to actually move forward see it for what it actually is and i'm not trying to hijack it peter but i'm like wait a second one person is like i'm holding myself back and no i was gonna say i love the way because.
Peter:
[25:52] It's very unique right.
Danya:
[25:53] Because i know especially.
Peter:
[25:54] In my world the people in my world they're.
Danya:
[25:56] Not going.
Peter:
[25:56] To really hear there's two things i just want to pick up on nick we'll we'll give you the microphone in a minute but it's like.
Danya:
[26:02] Two things there number one.
Peter:
[26:04] Number one is is like you know you were talking about performance Now, I love that because you're coming from that respect because you've seen how and you've had to help people push to a level of performance literally in sports to get to a higher point because that's a belief in self. That's a shift in psychology and subconscious as well. So, that's not something there. But the other thing too I was going to point out is like I love the way that you did acknowledge there the language and the words that we're using are important. Now, I know that's why all three of us get along because we do value that and we're highly astute and aware of that. And I know like now anyone who's listening who's been in my world long enough, now you'll know why I say words are important. I don't know how many times. Some people actually said to me, I've got you in my head saying, oh, your words are important. Your words are important. I'm like, Because they are because every single one of them does count and it does start to shape how you start to see or perceive your own self and your reality around it. So I just love that and you're kind of coming from that. And at the end of the day, like we're always trying to, you know, move forward and that's me. And it's an interesting thing. Like it's a deep, oh, God, we can have a huge deep conversation around how much we're performing in our lives. But, you know, that's definitely a different podcast another day. But coming back to it, Nick, like what are you saying that and helping people
Peter:
[27:17] who might be on that ledge or edge, so to speak.
Nick:
[27:21] Yeah, I just want to add to the conversation. First of all, take a deep breath, when all this comes up and go into the feeling state. What is the feeling that you're having? Even beyond the words that you're speaking, what are you feeling? And I don't mean feeling like you say, oh, I feel sad. Is that feeling state or is that a speaking state? What are you feeling? What is this fear? Where is it located in your body? Is there tension there? Is it tightness there? Can you breathe into that? Can you sense it? Can you go deeper and ask yourself a deeper question about that feeling so that it can dissipate a little bit? Because I think that we can sometimes get so into our head, like you were talking about, that we began to go into circles of our thought patterning, and we can't get out of the pattern. And so if you can go into the body and feel it, there is a, which is another reason why I was like, well, what's fun? Let's feel what fun feels like.
Peter:
[28:23] Yeah.
Nick:
[28:25] What is that aliveness? Exactly. What is that aliveness in you that is beyond the fear? If it's calling you, it's for you. Otherwise, it wouldn't be calling you. So if it's calling you forward, yes, there's this fear that's coming in here. There's this, there's this. But the fear is like a glass door. On the other side, you can see it and you keep bumping into the glass door. You keep running into it. But yet you can still see on the other side of the glass door that beauty that's waiting for you. And sometimes you hit the glass door enough times and you go, ouch. And you take a deep breath and you open the damn door and you walk through. But you got to hit the door and you got to feel it. Otherwise, you're going to keep hitting the door until you actually feel the pain.
Peter:
[29:12] Or simply just keep looking and staring and going, the grass is greener.
Nick:
[29:15] Correct.
Danya:
[29:17] I was like, smash the door. Fuck the door.
Nick:
[29:19] Yeah.
Peter:
[29:19] You burned the boat.
Nick:
[29:20] Smash the door. Fuck the door, smash it. Smash the door. Meanwhile, I'm like, I'm like, can't we just open it? Can't we just like pull it open?
Danya:
[29:28] Ramble that shit. Just joking.
Peter:
[29:31] Oh, I love, I love it.
Nick:
[29:33] Just dance while I'm opening the door. Like, it's fun.
Peter:
[29:36] Let's make it fabulous.
Danya:
[29:37] I'll dance while I'm smashing it, Nick.
Peter:
[29:39] I'm smashing it. I've just got this middle image of Nick almost being Dick Van Dyke from Mary Poppins. Like a chimney chimney, chimney chimney through the glass door.
Nick:
[29:49] You would not be wrong. I'd be singing. My husband always says.
Danya:
[29:52] We need a hat.
Nick:
[29:53] Nobody's life is like a musical except ours because you're constantly singing our way through it.
Danya:
[29:57] I love that. That's how life should be, though. Like, you know, this romanticized musical, living, being alive. I love that. Especially your husband.
Peter:
[30:06] But it is quite interesting how you're both bringing that in. Like, it's about the fun, the playfulness, the aliveness factor. And I think, like, when we're, like, looking at what we've discussed, I think, you know, if anyone's listening, just really taking this on, there's your clue. Yeah.
Peter:
[30:25] There's your north point on your compass to start leaning towards because I think that's a key thing and I like I know for myself which is quite interesting, but as as you guys are aware of the journey like even, me restructuring relooking what's happening how I do the work which and I love that because Nick you, referenced the glass door I was actually kind of referencing I was almost in the glass box so to speak with my work and my craft or the how I was using it and I felt very, almost too structured and too trapped thinking that this is the way it needs to be done or this is how it's supposed to be done whereas now and over the last you know eight months specifically, i've literally been probably wouldn't say necessarily opening door massively it's now open but first it was like, peep through the door let little let the.
Danya:
[31:14] Cool air of the.
Peter:
[31:15] Different room flow in and then okay we'll test that and a little bit like i didn't smash the door down then i.
Danya:
[31:21] Was like smash the box man like anyone who knows you is like peter and structure and like are you fucking what are you talking about this like medium this like, deep transformational speaker this me all the stuff is just like peter which i think just to speak to both of you here we've all witnessed our journeys of like forgetting ourselves and following someone else's rules and like, you know, very logical like this. And then you're just like, wait a second. Like we went to basement level and then sub-basement level and holy shit, there's like 10 levels below that.
Peter:
[31:52] And you're like, oh.
Danya:
[31:52] Wait, this isn't me. Like get back to myself where I love the question you posed too, Nick, back to the fun thing is like, can it be easy? Can it be fun? Can it be light? Can it be expansive? The answer is yes. Everything else around you and logic is going to say, nope, it's got to be. Great. If it's constricting you, it's false we can talk about that in a different podcast if it's expanding you those are your breadcrumbs to follow you don't have to on the whole path but the expansion is like wait a second it gets to be light and easy and playful and fun you don't have to perform life you're just being with your life and in my world we talk a lot about, aliveness over appearance there's people i work with who are very successful on paper, inside they're dead they're unfulfilled they're stressed out like on paper things are amazing but in their own life it doesn't feel like them that's like this kind of, identity crisis or like what do you mean this crumbling that happens it's awakening that happens it's the following the soul path over the safe path and many people right now are realizing wait a second i'm performing my life, well it's no wonder it's exhausting if you're performing everything all the time shit that was me yeah.
Nick:
[32:58] That was me on that.
Danya:
[32:59] Tony stage that we're talking about yes i was performing the life and it was so heavy and here i was.
Nick:
[33:05] In like the ultimate penultimate moment of my career the best the best the top of the top and it was awful.
Peter:
[33:13] And that's where I found myself. If I had to put like a particular kind of like a way to succinctly explain it, that would be the last 10 years, like the building up and over. And it did. It started to feel more and more. That's that glass box I was referring to. It started to feel more like I had to perform rather than be in that natural state of, you know, what's kind of happening here. So, it's very interesting. You can totally relate to that in that way. So, but I like that. and just like, you know, just looking at it and just kind of like bring this because I know we could honestly carry on for hours and hours on end. We've already found like there's already five different rabbit holes we could follow there.
Danya:
[33:53] But can I just say one thing before just to anchor on that? Because I think someone's going to be like, well, what do you mean? Like how do I articulate that beingness state? And I think.
Peter:
[34:02] For- That's what I was going to ask. Oh, right, you might. So I was going to say, we're going to do a quick one. We're going to do a quick round. What's quick? Relative to what? I'm going to let Nick take the lead on this one.
Nick:
[34:14] I'm going to let Nick take the lead. Go to Dania first.
Peter:
[34:16] No, I don't.
Nick:
[34:17] Right on up, right on up. She's the one who brought it up. Go for it, Dania.
Danya:
[34:23] What's the question about being this?
Peter:
[34:24] You're talking about this state. You're talking about this state, Dan. You're talking about the aliveness. You're talking about the playful way about feeling these. What would be the signs, the signals, the things that a person could genuinely start to recognize in themselves? To know that they're following or getting those breadcrumbs?
Danya:
[34:40] Well, you're not thinking, you're just doing. So let me, I'll give you some metaphors because no matter if you're speaking on stage in front of thousands, you're pitching a hard executive, you're in a lawsuit, it doesn't matter what you are.
Danya:
[34:52] The state that I want everyone in, which I call unfaculable, is essentially a flow state where no matter what's happening on the outside or inside, your presence, your coherence, your signal is, when I say signal, it's like you think of the radio station, there's no static. It's just that you hear your own voice, your own tune, and you're coherent, you're calm because you understand how things work and how you can, it's your conscious and your experience of life that creates that. So imagine you are an athlete. I'm going to use a different couple of metaphors, so stick with me. But when you, when I played basketball, I wasn't thinking of playing basketball. I was just playing basketball. My body was responding. I was just, I was playing. I was so in sport. When someone is hiking a mountain, sure, their legs are burning, their lungs are, but they're just with the mountain, the peaks, the clouds, the sunrise coming up, you know, you're just fully present in the moment. Or maybe you are an artist where you are creating music or you're dancing, you're not thinking of, you're just being so present in the moment with what is in front of you. And my whole goal is to get everyone to that place because from that place, you're your most resourceful, most creative, you have access to everything available around you that is always there. But we shut it off because we go into fight or flight, we go into thinking, we go into stress, we go into fear and it just shuts us down. We want to, and is it possible? 100% it's possible. Talk about the embodied path for both you and I. Fuck man. Those last eight weeks is like, wow, Danielle, you said you're unfuckable. Let's see. And you're like, okay, yeah. Can I still stay in.
Danya:
[36:19] Literally shit is going off in every area of my life. People would define it, but I was like, can I just be with this? And so whether you can recognize where I've gone on a walk and I've been so present, or I've read a book and I just got lost and I was just so present with the book, or when I'm speaking on stage, I don't have to think about what I'm saying. I'm just speaking. I'm just being. Everyone has experienced flow states, whether you call it flow state or not. And you You can take that example of, okay, maybe it was in a hike or a workout or creating music or just dancing, whatever it might be. You've all experienced that. And that's your center to come back to. No matter what's happening on the outside, can I get to flow state? And flow state is just being present with what is in front of you.
Nick:
[37:00] Are you done?
Danya:
[37:01] Yes. Make your time.
Peter:
[37:04] It was like, wow. I was like, oh.
Danya:
[37:06] Well, you said be quick. So that was my quickness.
Nick:
[37:09] I just want to add to that. But again, I think this is an addition too, is that it's a practice. It's why we call it a practice. Flow state is something that you practice and you actually do get better at. You do come into that center. You begin to find what that is and what it means for you. But the interesting thing about it is oftentimes we don't even recognize it in ourselves. We can kind of feel it. We kind of like know we're in it, but we don't actually know we're in it until we're out of it. because you go, oh, I was in it. Now I'm no longer in it. You know, so there's that piece of it. But you can also, what I find, is that people get external validation of it, which is very interesting. People will start to say things to you like, you seem lighter.
Danya:
[37:52] Uh-huh, uh-huh.
Nick:
[37:54] Oh, what's going on? You look happy.
Danya:
[37:56] Uh-huh.
Peter:
[37:57] Yeah.
Nick:
[37:58] And part of that is that you're just living. You're just being.
Danya:
[38:02] Is that, yeah.
Nick:
[38:03] And when you're in that state of play, of joy, of, I don't want to say happy because it's contentness. It's the moment. When you're just in that moment repeatedly, people begin to pick up on that. And sometimes, of course, they're like pissed that you're in that state. They're like, who are you to be that? Right? But more often than not, people go, I'll have what she's having. I'll have what Dania's having. I want that. What are you doing? Have you been dieting? Have you been exercising? Are you meditating? What are you doing? And you're like, I'm being. I'm just being me. And the more that you are you, the more you sense it, feel it, know it when you are in that flow state.
Danya:
[38:48] Mm-hmm.
Peter:
[38:50] Powerful.
Danya:
[38:50] I love that. And can I add to this? It's just a metaphor for people. Like, imagine you're a cork. And when you put a cork underwater, the cork inherently knows how to float, right? You don't have to tell the cork how to float. What keeps the cork underwater is all the shit holding it down. So a big part of work that we all do here is uncovering the shit that is holding you back from access in that flow state. It's the beliefs, the limitations, the identities that what worked before is not going where you're going next. Well, that's relationship, business, chapter. It doesn't matter what it is. Like you naturally know how to access that state it's just right now there's a bunch of static in the radio station that you're
Danya:
[39:25] just clearing so you come back to your own music that only you can play and experience in life.
Peter:
[39:29] But and that's what i like people in my world knows always talk about like you got to get this junk in the trunk out of the way first, because if you're really looking to have any level of connection and like and this is the biggest thing that you know i you know people are starting me was like people obviously come to me and looking for connection and in a different way whether it's an external or it's going to be through a past love and whatever else. But I'm like, the connection goes so much deeper and beyond that. There's so many different forms of it. And I always say the first one is yourself because if you haven't got that, you can't access those states that we've been talking about. You can't. And that's been, this is the other thing too, is like a lot of people start thinking, you know, in like learning or trying to develop in my world, they're like, they try to think it. And it's like there's the complete opposite it's actually the release like the polar opposite you actually need to come back to and that's what i want to say to anyone like if you're you're looking for that and that connection so, all of these conversations all of these points are absolutely valid and that's why you know we come together because we see it and we work at it and we do that beautiful dance between us, you know about it and with this kind of work so i love that and so hopefully just by being here and listening and getting these unique perspectives which has been absolutely beautiful to have, it can help you guys that are listening to this, just to start looking at yourself. Start to, like what's Daniel saying, start to observe yourself.
Danya:
[40:51] They know, right? Sometimes they listen, they're like, oh, fuck, I know where I'm at. I'm like, oh, this.
Peter:
[40:55] It's like, how do you do it? That's what I'm doing. But I'm being nice.
Danya:
[40:58] I'm being nice. I'm being mean to their ego and their fear.
Peter:
[41:00] You can see, she's like.
Danya:
[41:01] I'm being nice to your future.
Peter:
[41:02] Glassdoor, smash. You're like the Avenger. Hulk, smash.
Danya:
[41:06] Well, look, for your ego and fears, yes. life is so precious and we've all experienced people recently like my age just someone passed i'm just like, yeah there's no rules it's all made up like you we think we have time and it's not like this pressure but just like the reverence for life and the reverence for your life and the music that only you can play you know what to do, now how do you support yourself in actually doing that that's the biggest thing like you you don't know how much time you have in this life i passed a bench when i was walking the dog and there's someone passed away at 40 that's not too many more years that's younger than both of you and that's not too many more years away from me and I had another friend just pass away. I'm just like, wow. Am I living or am I just performing for someone else? Am I worried about what, okay, an opinion, like just shit that doesn't actually matter at the end of the day is the stuff that we're working through. And we're just reminding you
Danya:
[41:50] and what resonates with you is your own truth. The last thing I'll just anchor with this is the reason you feel that lightness when someone says, wow, you look lighter. It's because you've met yourself. You've embodied the journey. You've done the healing work. And I want to say healing, not from the lens of you're broken. That's such a fucked up thing that people, it's like, oh, I'm healing. But they're healing from the lens of i'm broken there's nothing wrong with me no you're just releasing what's not you it's a very different frequency and felt experience but you meet people who have done the work and are embodied and you feel that authenticity and authenticity is the highest frequency there's no bullshit meter there's no performing it's just like here i am, take me or leave me i'm not for everyone you're not for everyone but who are you living for because fuck life is short.
Danya:
[42:32] So yes peter i'll be a fucking rambo to you someone's egos and fears glass boxes because like what else are we going to do not live and have fun fuck around and find out.
Nick:
[42:42] And now we're back to a musical.
Danya:
[42:43] Because you said.
Nick:
[42:44] Take me or leave me and i'm like believe me i'm singing rent for.
Danya:
[42:48] You.
Nick:
[42:49] Take me baby or leave me.
Danya:
[42:54] That's it gone i was like that he's ready for the backup dancing i mean you know they have to come to the event to get the full song and i have to go learn it That's a whole other conversation. Oh, you heard it here first, everyone. Nick will be performing the event.
Nick:
[43:09] Take me or leave me. It's a duet, so we'll have to do it together.
Danya:
[43:13] Peter and Nick, great. Peter and Nick, I'll go.
Nick:
[43:16] Get out the karaoke machine. Here we go.
Peter:
[43:18] Oh, dear. But you love it. But honestly, even like I know it's a very short time, but I love the amount of beautiful wisdom and insight you guys can absolutely bring in such a short space of time. So, I can't thank you again, like, enough for being here, kind of coming together and sharing this and helping people because I know, like, if you... Of course, if you can't make it into the room in October, then literally just you might want to press repeat on this episode and listen to it a couple of times to let it really sink in because sometimes it takes a little bit. It takes a little bit to sink in because it's going to push you in a different direction. It's going to open up new neural pathways literally for you. And it's a really kind of big thing. But of course, if you can be in the room with us, then we're literally going into that deeper dive.
Nick:
[44:10] And you won't miss Take Me or Leave Me. I mean, you know.
Peter:
[44:13] You won't miss The Duet.
Danya:
[44:14] That's the bonus.
Peter:
[44:15] That's the throw. And you're going to get it's dinner and a show.
Nick:
[44:18] Dinner and a show.
Peter:
[44:19] How exciting. It's a weekend away and a show. But I love it. But it is, guys, so if you're hearing it and you're really looking, going, you know what, you're looking for it. Because this is me. I know for a fact the reason why I'm inspired and I put these on and I love having these to do it with me is because. Honestly, I don't feel like there's enough of this in Australia, on Australian soil. These two are coming to join me in October here on the Gold Coast, September 18th of October. So, if you want to come along, do the deep dive and literally be in a room where you can be seen and with other people who are like mind and like frequency and like go, you know what, we're here all for the same thing. You'll walk away all with something a little bit different, but you're going to walk away knowing each other and yourselves just that little bit better. So, go and have a look. Tickets are open now. You can have a look at inspirationalsoul.com forward slash soul summit. Have a look there. And there's a very, very special offer there if you go and have a look a little bit further. But I'm going to tease that one. Yes, you're going to have to go and have a look. That's for you guys to have a look there as well. But to take us out and wrap us up, final notes, final message. Nick.
Danya:
[45:27] Go, Nick. Sing it.
Nick:
[45:31] I mean, come on now. Danya's been bringing us home. And then now I have to All of a sudden, Okay here's what I have to say Okay, Clearly go have a good time.
Peter:
[45:49] He's got the lyrics of Rent rolling around his mind now. Rent is going through my head.
Nick:
[45:52] So here's all I have to say. Take me or leave me. No, go have a good time in your life. No matter what.
Peter:
[45:59] Love it.
Nick:
[46:00] Live this life fully. No matter what. Come join us at the Inspirational Soul Summit. No matter what.
Peter:
[46:08] Love it. Dunya, final thoughts.
Danya:
[46:10] Can I just say amen, sister? You fucking good? Every single time.
Nick:
[46:15] Three words. Amen, sister.
Danya:
[46:17] I know that's two words nick amen sister, i just want to end up the question for real though it's like just really what are you doing for and who who are you living for, because i know it's like i'm living for my kids and it's like when you really really hone in to recognize like what is truly best for you, is best for everyone everyone benefits when you are living in your dharma your authenticity like your cup being so overloaded and full and my parents always push back danya wait i get it and you're incredible and, your parents will get more out your kids will get more out of you when you actually rest and you have food and you get help and support like they will get, a more present parent in your relationships when you're following your passions you're led by life you're not just relying on your person to do that everyone benefits in your life when you are truly doing what is best for you. And only you have those answers. So the question is, what's preventing me from actually doing what I know?
Nick:
[47:18] I knew she should have wrapped it up. See, that was so much more eloquent. That was so much more eloquent than take me or leave me.
Danya:
[47:24] Take me. Just joking.
Peter:
[47:28] But like jokes.
Danya:
[47:29] Aside look you're right peter should do the duet with.
Peter:
[47:32] Me like i'll practice the room will be vacated very quickly if that happens all right i'm.
Nick:
[47:41] Sorry peter you need to wrap it up my plan.
Peter:
[47:43] Works this is peter's podcast and we've just taken over but i was the easiest way i was gonna wrap it up even though that wasn't a quite quick final message that i was planning to get there but the truth is but you can see the energy what happens here what you've experienced on this podcast that's what's just getting that in steroids live in person that's pretty much this is what we're like guys, we we love it we like to have fun with what we're doing but we also love helping people to get back to that place that little bit of remembering themselves integrating having the fun and remembering to live so come along inspirational summit nick and dunya thank you so much cannot wait to connect with you and i'll see you very soon in the flesh.
