Peter:
[0:00] Right, welcome back everyone, back to the Inspirational Soul podcast and today we have Dania Douglas Hunt in the house.
Peter:
[0:11] Hello. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
Sioux:
[0:13] It's Kermit the Frog, look at this.
Peter:
[0:16] I know, yeah, look, it's Kermit the Frog after my Mini.
Sioux:
[0:19] I love it.
Peter:
[0:19] So, my British Green, Racing Green Mini.
Sioux:
[0:22] I love it.
Peter:
[0:23] Love that car, by the way.
Sioux:
[0:24] So fun.
Peter:
[0:26] It is, and talking about fun, it's the whole thing. But I love this. It's nice to have you back. You have had an awesome time spending a lot of time in Australia. And you are joining us back from Vancouver, Canada, but you are coming back in October.
Sioux:
[0:47] I am. That is so soon.
Peter:
[0:49] I know. I am.
Sioux:
[0:50] I'm so excited.
Peter:
[0:52] And it is awesome. So, of course, if you caught last week's episode, we were talking with Nick Demos and of course, we are here with Dunya because the reason why we're doing this is because we're getting the gang back together in October for another summit, which I have to say, I'm putting it out there. It was their idea, not mine. It was. It was. It was your idea. Like, you can't wait for June next year. You have to do another one in between.
Sioux:
[1:21] No, we had to do one sooner. That is true. We were like, we're not waiting this long. Well, because the last event was such a hit. And to be honest, most people, they were like, you three, don't split up. We need to do this again. And I'm like, I don't want to wait a whole year and a bit for that to happen.
Peter:
[1:34] 18 months almost, yeah.
Sioux:
[1:35] So, yeah, it was, you know, it was all of us kind of being like, why would we wait to have this again like a year and a bit from there?
Peter:
[1:42] And here's the thing, guys. Like that was, it was just a little vision of mine having the summit. I was so lucky enough over the last couple of years, obviously, to meet Nick and Dunya through the group that we connected with. And we've just gelled. We've become soul family. We talk about it. I think it was one of the biggest things where people spoke about at the summit. They're going, you three, like it's like your bloody siblings.
Sioux:
[2:08] Yeah.
Peter:
[2:09] And it was. I said, well, technically, Nick would be the older brother. I'll be the middle brother and Dunya's the younger sister.
Sioux:
[2:15] I'm the younger. She had to serve it.
Peter:
[2:18] Yeah, I am. Yeah. But she's the pocket rocket. And I can tell you right now, even though you might be the younger sister, that does not by any means, you know, dampen the wisdom that you bring to the room. I can tell you that. And I think everyone's excited to see you back in the room. I know it's exciting because we've purposely designed it to give you that extra time because you were biting at the bit going, I want to help these people I.
Sioux:
[2:43] Want to jump in I want to for everyone here's context I had to wait to like the end of the first day to even like get up there and like I'm like come on put me in coach put me in like I just want to you know, um I loved it though it was so fun it was so so fun genuinely it was like such a yeah the way everything came together so beautifully and gelled and the transformations and people who showed up and like really, were vulnerable and like the co-creation process between all of us and who attended was just so, so sublime, so beautiful.
Peter:
[3:12] It really was. And I think the beautiful part was, everyone's kind of like, cool, we're coming along to this, but had like a snippet and a little bit of an idea of where it's kind of going to go. But again, it's one of those things of like, we talk about it, but we say, look, just come, enjoy it for what it is.
Peter:
[3:31] The good thing is though is obviously again if you haven't gone back you can have a quick listen to the episode with Nick because we talked a little bit about it but the great thing is that you can tell even by the title of these episodes, they're called the remembering and this is a big thing both like with all of us with myself Nick and Dania we've we've been really sitting with the energy since January and we also saw it in January January kind of actually inspired it and kind of we started to see these shifts, and it's about that kind of remembering and we're noticing, a pattern and of course you know daniel and i had a good pre-show catch up around all of this like two hours two hours how are you how are you okay, cool yeah we're good yeah that's how catch up people's like it's like, when we ask how are you that's a two-hour chat yeah that's a deep dive that's not a i'm good now tell me everything so the beautiful part is like we're talking about this and because right now, we're really in the flux of this and you've really noticed this too And you've actually seen a big contrast since obviously having time in Australia, being back in Canada. You've like really seen it like almost like neon lights. Do you want to just quickly talk us through like what you've been seeing and what's the patterns and stuff that's been floating around in your life at the moment?
Sioux:
[4:42] How long do we have?
Peter:
[4:43] She's like, okay, we've got another two hours.
Sioux:
[4:44] I was like, how long do we have? I would say, especially in line with like our event we have coming up is just following your soul path over. I'd like to use soul path over safe path. And safe path, I usually go to like the constructs that we've learned or been conditioned to or the identities we've taken on or the beliefs we think we had or that I should do this. I could do this. kind of just these constructs and paradigms that we learn and we take on until you recognize that's actually not it anymore. And the reason I say soul path over safe path is the safe path is very much around like fear or limitation or scarcity, that frequency of just that, it's just a felt frequency like you know whether you're in alignment with your higher self or not and the patterns i've been seeing even still is this eight weeks, since i've been back in canada but also since january it's just this shedding process of like you think you're in alignment and not it's not that you're not in alignment it's just more you're uncovering things that are still not aligned with where you're going and.
Sioux:
[5:48] Pre-show i was talking to you about like people I think have a misconception of alignment or like what this means and it's rainbows and butterflies but really it's just an, unfurling process of coming back to who you are and when you're in different environments with different people and different wherever it might be back with family friends new countries you really get to see like who, who are you and is this actually who you are or is this a construct or a paradigm or belief you've taken on so, from January to now energetically, beliefs identities all of that has just been showing me like okay what actually is mine and what's not mine and there's been a lot of a metaphor I'll use just clearing out so things I had built or.
Sioux:
[6:30] Were previously built are like being torn down right but then for where you're going there's you have to uncover the foundation and dig a deeper foundation to put in the house of what you're building next and so, I think speaking to you and many people in our world it's been that it's like there's still this clearing process happening aligning you to what is your deeper truth and your soul path that only you know no one else knows it for you and it's just been, it's been edgy it's been uncomfortable because you're kind of like oh I thought it was this and now it's this and you're reaching your edges and your capacity of like things that, you thought were and they're not and then you have this experience of grief and sadness and excitement it's all of this beautiful uncovering discovering remembering ironically that's the name of the thing. And it is that it's just been this deepened remembering process on steroids.
Peter:
[7:18] It really has been. And like the best part about this is like the reason why we get together and we talk about this and this is what we can – because we're going through it. Like we're not exempt from it. But I love it. And like we were saying like to each other, like, oh, thank God I can talk to you about it. Because you get it. Because you get it. Like so that's me. If you're listening to this, you'll probably find like, you've got to find those people that you can relate to, that you can actually have these conversations where you know you're not going to sound like you're absolutely wearing tinfoil hat like you can genuinely go hey i'm doing this this is what's kind of going and, i love that part about like it is it's like it's the unfurling it's pulling apart and i've literally, i was mentioning a little bit before and i've said it was just it kind of came to me i feel like, as soon as you think you're going yes okay this is this is this is it now this is this is the path i think i'm on this and you go You feel good about it and you kind of center yourself and you go, yeah. And then all of a sudden, 48 hours later, nope. That's not it. It's changing. And you're going, oh, come on. You know, it's like, you can't change. It's just the constant changes.
Sioux:
[8:28] But it's also- And allowing yourself to be in that flow state. I think people are so like, because I can hear people like, but that's just you not being, you know, making a decision. And it's like, no, when you're actually so tuned into your soul path and what is in alignment for you, and these words can just mean what? You know, if you're living something that's not, truthful or like heavy or resistance or scared, like it's a felt experience you can't make this shit up no one actually knows don't think it no don't think it and it's interesting because on that path you are walking to get like, you need clarity and the only reason you get clarity is you can't think your way into clarity you have to walk the path have the embodied path and as you're doing that something that you, came to in 48 hours you'd be like actually that's not it but because i went down there and made that choice and path now i have more clarity and data in front of me to make a different path because that was getting me closer to what it might be. But I think some people have, I know I have in the past too, this guilt and shame around like changing your mind or like for fuck's sakes or being in resistance. And that just makes it so much of a harder journey than it has to be.
Sioux:
[9:30] I said this to you earlier, Peter, alignment is, I describe it as like Armageddon. It's because your brain and body are letting go of all the things that thought it knew. Like, for example, when I did my first career, working with Olympic athletes, I had to get a fucking hard degree, spend tens of thousands of dollars, tens of thousands of hours, like passing board exams, fighting for the interviews, and then all of a sudden to be like, okay, walking away.
Sioux:
[9:56] You would be it would be psychotic of you metaphorically speaking for you not to have this kind of like what because i built up my identity on my sunken cost files into that thing but i knew there was a deeper like this isn't it dania like you can see the next 30 years this is not it, so for people who are to loop that back is when you're making change it's normal to have the body and the brain be like what the f and have that unfurling experience being uncomfortable but when you're centered in your own truth and you're like just you keep walking only your soul path that you know, it makes that change easier acceptance and flow which i know we're getting it into like surrender and flow and allowing versus adding more resistance onto it of like oh this thing 48 hours ago now it's this we're just adding like your foot's already on the gas we're just putting brakes on, so the work that we get to do is remove all the brakes from people's own inner knowing to align that, but there's also truth of walking the soul path and remembering is not easy and it's not for the faint of heart like welcome to the the you think it's all oh it's this no oh no and you're like oh for f sakes and then you're just like hey, How do you learn surrender? Well, you're going to learn it pretty quick by embodying it and being with it. So I just wanted to loop that in because I know I've had that thought of like, why can't I just, and it's like, you're not, you're getting the embodiment and clarity and action that's going to give you the next unfolding. So it's okay to be changing your mind and shifting as you're going with things. So that's part of it.
Peter:
[11:18] And if you're listening to this and you're recognizing it, I can almost guarantee that, you know especially since the beginning of 2026 you've probably been in it and it will be but what's also fascinating and this will be interesting to get your context on this especially because you've had like this wonderful transitions of of places and continents and cultures yeah but it's also interesting too when these things happen it's not just happening to, self what you'll find is the people places and environment will also act as the catalyst, to create that because i know for for myself that, it's interesting like even where i went at the group and coming to meet yourself and nick that was a part of it was the people in the group that helped open up a different door to realize there's something more here yeah and it was almost, giving myself permission that allowing to go you can walk through this you can actually explore this and because you want to doesn't mean automatically you're closing doors on anything else yeah and but it's weird how, our brain or a little bit of the good old paradigm and the programming says but if you're doing this then you you can't do that and you're gonna do it's a it's always always it's just a it's a mind fuck,
Peter:
[12:37] juicy conundrum it is yeah and.
Sioux:
[12:39] I think part of the work that we do in our own ways is helping people understand why the conundrum's happening. Like, it's kind of like, I don't know why it's coming to mind to share, but electricity, everyone knows it exists. You flipped a switch on and off, but most people don't actually know how it works, like the conduction and a negative to positive and through the wire. Like, so not saying you need to know that stuff, but when you have people who have walked that path and have such a vast knowledge and embodiment of it, they can give you context and articulation for what you're experiencing and going through. And so it's, I think the whole permission thing and you going to the event and expanding your container and meeting people who are going on that same journey, they're adding in pieces of the puzzle that you know are there, but you couldn't maybe quite articulate or see yourself because of, the lack of expansion in consciousness or blind spots that is necessary to be with people in order to have that happen. So back to your point of traveling, different cultures, different communities, different everything. It's just expanding your peripheral view of you're really yourself, them, whether it's being a mirror or just showing you where, what I like to say is like, just where you're not free. If you're reacting, if you're getting triggered if there's mind drama or physiology in the body aka anxiety or stress or like fear heaviness that's trying to give you clues to come back to you and it's using the environment externally to to show you that and help you get there faster.
Peter:
[13:56] But i think the other thing too is and like it's a part of like you know originally why i did that and getting permission but also like, being able to do this and having this vision of like bringing people together because i know for a fact for a long time and we've we've discussed this and we've all got this relatively in common in some way between yourself and Nick and myself. It's interesting because there are points of where, you'll find that you're doing it alone. So, there is an alone factor. You're going to have to have some level of self-time because you've got to get real with yourself. But then there's also a point of like, you've got to make sure that you have a place where you can express that level of depth.
Sioux:
[14:39] Yeah.
Peter:
[14:39] And I think like that's one thing that, you know, where we've all kind of come together because that was what was missing. We were finding like, where can we go to have these deeper conversations? And like the one we're having right now like you know it's like it's so good to have and that's why if you're listening to it like you're in this you're in the club okay so you're not alone so this is this is where if you want to go deep we're going with this, but i love it because i want to come back and talk about because you talked about, you know having that space and creating that so you can start to embody and start to sense and feel uh these changes and around the identity like you know just i'm going to put you on the spot a little bit but what are some of your go-to things that might help a listener who's like in it right now? What could be something that could help them just make that tiny little shift or just to alleviate that self-pressure that they might be feeling right here in this moment?
Sioux:
[15:31] A couple of things come to mind. First, if you're experiencing physiology, body stuff, body symptoms, like you're having a panic attack or you're stressed out or just like the body feels tight, you always want to ground in that moment. And how you ground can be different for everyone. You can literally put music on and shake your body. Bringing that back to the primal instincts, which I'll close this loop, is when wild animals being chased and it's done being chased and it got away from the lion, like let's say the zebra runs away, gets away from the lion. If you had the camera on the line the zebra after the chase that zebra literally knows how to shake the energy out of its body to move it like the energy's done the cortisol is done and now it's back to being grounded, we live in a time and place where there's lots of like think your way out of stuff and you can but when you're activated you can't you can use some reframes yes but if there's energy in your body you got to move the energy so whether that's doing something physical like breath work or punching a pillow or yelling or dancing it's get get grounded in the body first put your feet on grass ground the body move the energy and then we can kind of get back into.
Sioux:
[16:37] Using the psychology to help actually shift like getting perspective the worst thing you can say to someone is like oh you're not your thoughts it's okay like this is just a They're going to be like so enraged with energy that that's not going to transmute and commute. Like it's not going to register. Right. So if you're in a spiral, I will also reference Dr. Jill Bolt. There's a lot of different research and methodologies. But when you have an emotion, let's call it a trigger. I hate that word, but an activation. If you just sit and observe and be with it, from the time the emotion causes the cascade of chemicals in the body to go through and go out the bloodstream, it's around 90 seconds. So genuinely with some clients it's like okay start a timer and just observe don't think but just observe energy in your body and allow yourself to watch and observe the wave, no thought no judging just being with it and you know from a physiological perspective in 90 seconds that's actually going to go through its little activation and out the bloodstream there, so for some people they're moving the energy for some people it's like give me a timer to watch seconds go down i I can do slow breathing and just observe what I'm being with my body. The reason it lasts a lot longer is because we think a thought and it's like, oh no, and then this, and then this. And it's like, you just keep triggering the same thing in the body. So the 90 seconds out just keeps getting extended. I would start with those two things first if you're in it, ground physically.
Sioux:
[17:59] Then the whole point of what we do and the summit we have coming up is remembering who you are. Because when you remember who you actually are, you recognize you are not your thoughts. You are the observer of your thoughts. You're the consciousness experiencing this vessel, this reality. And what is in your reality is just an expression of your consciousness within. And so when we get to that place of being able to shift our self-concept or our consciousness to see things for what it is, not for what we're making it mean, laced with interpretations or stories or fears or past paradigms and protection mechanisms, that separation of space, is that enough to cause a little bit of dissociation in the sense that you see it for what it is, not like it's a doom and gloom, but Danny, my bank account and this, you get space from that, recognize that's not actually who you are. That's your body and mind and body protection. That's past programming. That's fear, but it's not who you are. Reason being Peter is when you're in that fight or flight in it, you can't think straight. Your body's hijacked. When you're in it, you don't have any access to your intuition your creativity you're seeing possibilities and solutions that are right in front of you but if primal body is activated and you're in it and you're like just continuing to spiral you can't actually access that frequency of solutions because you're on the frequency of fear and being in it and resistance, right now there's a funny thing i wish to share i saw this on social media actually i loved it.
Sioux:
[19:22] Yeah name naming the i know i'm kind of going maybe a bit more technical but that's okay finding something just create space with it so like i saw someone said imagine the voice in your head you're hearing is like a guy's voice or like a girl's voice whatever or like a villain from a movie character, just to be like i use the one from friends janice who has that really, distinct laugh so when i imagine it's her speaking i it's a pattern interrupt to just get me space and perspective and be like okay hold on yeah back to the center so it's just using speaking.
Peter:
[19:52] Like kermit that would.
Sioux:
[19:53] Interrupt seriously like because what you're doing is pattern interrupting the thought domino and the physiology to get you back into okay yes there can be which i've described to you this last eight weeks and two years has been like what the f right it's like i'm the center of a hurricane i'm very calm but what's around me is like, on fire and blowing up. To get to stay in your center is using these kinds of things in repetition to help you stay centered and calm. So you stay resourceful, effective, intuitive, seeing possibilities. You're not flipping to the frequency of fear or scarcity or problems, which helps you be with whatever is with a lot easier. And second of all, helps you transition out of it. Now, I don't want to say faster, but a more enjoyable experience because you're not being hijacked by fear or doom and gloom or past paradigms that aren't serving you. You didn't think I was going to go there. I'm just going off on technical tangent, but it's like there's a couple of things that can help just shift. We're going to go with it.
Peter:
[20:51] But they're huge. And I actually really appreciate how you brought in such a simple nature like evidence there of the zebra and the lion. Like they literally, and like as soon as you there, I've got the images of that zebra like after being chased and survived. and it's like, oh, okay, let's just shake that shit off.
Sioux:
[21:08] Yeah, they ground their energy.
Peter:
[21:09] And then it's like, because for them it's like, well, we've got to get back to surviving, which means we've got to eat, we've got to get back into that kind of thing. Whereas I think you're right, like we, and you mentioned a really important phrase there, like that's the thing of we try to think our way out of a lot of stuff.
Sioux:
[21:29] Yeah, all my overthinkers and perfectionists are like, yeah, you can't do it, babe. How's it working out for you second half is.
Peter:
[21:37] We've got to change that up and it's like but i.
Sioux:
[21:38] Love it because.
Peter:
[21:39] That's and that's where we've all kind of come back to it i know that you've got such you know deep understanding and especially from from like you know your start of your journey with working with athletes and that.
Sioux:
[21:50] Competitiveness.
Peter:
[21:51] And like needing to reach peak performance.
Sioux:
[21:53] And understanding all of that that's why stress and pressure and failure and yeah and this is what i mean like.
Peter:
[21:58] The the well as you can hear guys like the wealth of knowledge like you just you love it it's like you you.
Sioux:
[22:04] Like the lawn on the zebra but i'm also like shoot because i also know like one that one concept of like physiology we could talk about for hours on but it's like a cliff notes let's just give you know but that's why you come to the summit we do deeper dives on all the stuff so it's like and i'll just, peter to wrap this up it's i know especially with my clients when you know a little bit not a ton you don't gotta be electrician and know but when you know a little bit of the what and the why it makes the how and the embodiment of the how and the experience of right now a lot easier, it just gives you more again perspective and like just kind of like when you're in new york and you're on the ground floor you can only see the taxis the horns the buildings but as soon as you're on the balcony looking down you're like oh wait there's a garden there's my favorite coffee shop, when you expand your perspective and you expand your consciousness, you get to see things differently that were always there but you didn't have access to because you're on the different frequency so, reason i bring in psychology neuroscience all this stuff is, it gives you that tangible articulation for like oh that's why i'm shitting myself or that's why this is like oh there's nothing wrong with me i used that example earlier i'm sorry because, i had someone going through some very intense situation and they're like i'm going to the bathroom a lot i'm like yeah your body's doing that to try and make you lighter so that way the lion that's perceiving can't get you and you're faster and it's like oh that makes a lot it's like.
Peter:
[23:24] I remember you having that particular one. You were like, you were sitting there. We were at a conference and you're there at the back going, I'm going to keep peeing. I can't stop peeing.
Sioux:
[23:35] Like something's coming.
Peter:
[23:36] Something's coming. Yeah, it's just like.
Sioux:
[23:37] Well, when you understand why, it's like, oh, duh. My body's perceiving a threat. And it's like.
Peter:
[23:43] It was so fascinating because it was like. I remember when you kept looking at me saying, I'm trying to keep a straight face. No. But it's interesting because even in that i love that because we're in a very very big room of people yeah and like there was hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people but i love that because but even in that moment i remember you telling me you were going you were that level of awareness of self-awareness of hang on there's something here, and i know like yes i know that you drink a lot of tea and a lot of fluids and make sure you're very mindful of that but you knew within yourself i could tell the way that you were talking about it yeah hey like there's something else shifting here or wherever else and and I do believe it kind of did lead to there was a sudden shift in the room and the energy in the room because I think the exercise or something changed and was like oh okay and I remember you had to adapt very quickly, to the situation there but it's but again even in that like I find that's always a big thing and the more that, when you were talking about like being aware of your physiology or even just kind Because that's a big thing, like anyone who's kind of come along to some of my deeper immersive events or retreats, they've all said it's like, you've got to get back into the body because there's a lot more going on here than what we give a credit for. And like I said, we're just so….
Peter:
[25:03] Telling ourselves that, you know, this thing up here between our ears is, you know, God's gift to earth when actually I think there's, you know, like 75% underneath that's doing a lot more of the work. But also I know like, this is why I say to people, it's really interesting, like mention this and this is why I love, we can chat about it forever in a day. But if you don't even, like these people don't even realize like there's actually a, by the MEDA Institute, there was actually a scientific report done. And there's actually truth in it because the heart is actually sending double the amount of neural impulses to the brain than the brain sends it to the heart.
Peter:
[25:39] And I say to people like this and going, that's the pure evidence that there is actually more information going this way, going up, than there is going down. The trouble is we, it's almost like, and I say to people, or the pattern I see with people, is it's really fascinating because I always say if people get stuck in traffic, especially in the gridlock here and the good old M1, big highway, and it's like everyone's had that experience of being stuck in traffic and you're there bumper to bumper going, oh, my God, this hour trip just turned into two. And then you look across to the other carriageway that's heading in the opposite direction and it's just free-flowing and you're going, bastards, you know, I wish I was going that way. And it's like if you can picture that in your mind, And that's pretty much being stuck in traffic is like your head trying to do everything. Whereas like the body and the heart is literally the free flowing, but it's like, but we're not paying attention to it. It's just doing its thing. And I love that we can, we can do that. And I think it's an important aspect. And I know we definitely go deeper, you know, into that and accessing those things when we kind of come together because it's a deep dive thing. And I think, and I think, you know, for both of us and for yourself, like I know, for example, So, everyone knows that, yes, I can read energy. I can work with energy. And I have a greater self-awareness, which, you know, I've worked very hard on.
Sioux:
[26:56] Yeah.
Peter:
[26:57] But at the same time, there are points when you still need someone to help observe you.
Sioux:
[27:01] Yeah.
Peter:
[27:02] You know? And so, because you can't always see the smaller nuances that are happening with you at the time.
Sioux:
[27:11] Yeah.
Peter:
[27:11] And that's why sometimes it's important to come together as a group.
Sioux:
[27:14] Sometimes. Always, Peter. Always. Here's why. Let me anchor this in a metaphor, okay? Because there was a couple of conversations recently too of like, oh, but Danny, I teach this work. And it was almost like shame, like they needed the work too. And it's like, what the F? But we've all had, I've had that thought too. Like, oh, this shouldn't be me. Like I teach this work and hold on. Okay. So you're telling me if you're a doctor, you never need a doctor to help you, that exempts you for some reason. Or like, let's say you're the best massage therapist. There's still someone who'd give you a better back massage. who's maybe has one 10th of your capacity, then you could give yourself a back massage. And if some of my massage therapists are like, no, you can use tools, get out of your head. Look, we all have blind spots. We all require each other to be in relationships, to be mirrors for each other, not only to show us like what's going on for ourselves. Like if that something is activating you, that's a mirror for you where you're not free and there's something for you to work on. If I'm saying something, if I'm being fast or I'm saying like a high pitch, having someone who can actually read that segue second, you said that, but you're in the frequency of doubt. That you might not catch you're just doing it so fast so every high performer every olympic athlete everyone who like wants to really experience life fully that's their definition of fully and how you define a success has multiple people in their corner that they trust as confidence to say okay cool this is a blind spot or this is you can't see your own blind spots it's that classic metaphor of you cannot read the label from inside the jar.
Sioux:
[28:38] And i find the more experienced people are and the more self-aware and sophisticated, it's like the more they think that this doesn't apply to them. It's like, hold on. I have so many coaches. Like I said, if I'm the best back masseuse, there's still going to be someone out there who can give me a better massage than myself with my hands on my back. What makes you think you're exempt from experiencing the embodiment deeper of your work or in deeper of you don't have blind spots? We all do. Unless you don't want to grow anymore. But if you're wanting to grow and expand, this is the necessary requirement of it.
Peter:
[29:08] And it keeps coming to me as long as I was connecting back to the whole Olympic theme that you've come up with, you know, and it's just like life is a team sport. Like, yes, you can do it on your own, but it can be very lonely. And we've all experienced that because, you know, we have that. But the more you do, but here's, I don't know, like that is probably opening another Pandora's box here. I don't know if this is going from, but it's like the whole thing is I feel like some people may almost have doubt, fear, or be afraid of going. Like working on myself or delving that because look truth is I personally know and I'm from our conversation and I you've experienced it it is the same thing like that's the growth like you and it's it's interesting it's amazing, and I'm we make this joke and I think you might have recalled it like when we're at January summer I said to people I actually said to the group so who here, had trouble explaining to their friends or their family what they're coming to this weekend Yeah.
Sioux:
[30:07] Yeah.
Peter:
[30:07] And they're like, yeah, I did. And it's like, and how many of your friends and family did you tell? They're saying, oh, does it sound like a little bit like a cult?
Sioux:
[30:16] Yeah, it can.
Peter:
[30:18] It can do. It can because you're growing.
Sioux:
[30:20] Doing something different than what they're used to.
Peter:
[30:21] You're growing, you're doing something different. And it's amazing how many people want to deflect from actually looking at themselves or thinking that I don't have to grow. But it's really fascinating. But it's one of those things where I always say when people do jump into it, you're hooked. There is something about it because you're always willing to go deeper. But I think that's the big thing, like you're saying, like the masseuse metaphor there as well, like reading the label from the inside. You can't. So, the whole thing is it's a team. You need to have those right people around you because that just makes it that little bit easier, that little bit more –, Not always super enjoyable, but you feel supported. You feel seen. And that just makes it, you know, allows you to breathe rather than feel like you need to carry everything on your own two shoulders.
Sioux:
[31:15] Even the thing that I've heard myself say even recently is like, oh, thanks for catching that thought. Because, again, you're not your thoughts. Just imagine like clouds going by. But it's all there for protection, to keep you to what you know. So the mind drama and the physiology are just like imagine it's like a scared little five-year-old version of yourself or someone who doesn't know how it's going to work out it's just trying to keep to what you know so when you're in the room with other people and you're growing.
Sioux:
[31:37] You're not doing it alone you're not having the thoughts of like what's wrong with me because you're like oh wait a second you have on you and you, i thought it was only one thinking these thoughts and it's like the most beautiful thing about the human experience is, there's always going to be suffering there's always going to be the duality of good and bad and trauma there and it's a shared experience And so when you feel like you're alone in your problems, you're not. Even though you are a unicorn soul, yes, your limitations, your problems, your heaviness that you're carrying is not unique. But when you think it is that loneliness and isolation and like, what's wrong with me? And why can't I solve this? Especially my very like smart self, like, why can't I figure this out? Oh, because you're literally on the wrong frequency. You can't access. If you want country music, but you're on the radio station of rock and roll, you have to change the dial and changing the dial is the stuff that we do is like changing and uncovering. Where is the static? Where is the beliefs, the shit that's not yours so that you can actually tune into the channel that you want, which is country or jazz. You can't do that on your own. You can do a lot of it on your own,
Sioux:
[32:37] but everyone has blind spots and growth is uncomfortable as fuck. Let's use a physical metaphor. Those of you who go to the gym. Yeah. It doesn't feel good. It's hard. You're literally going into the gym and your muscles are tearing apart. So that way, when you leave the gym and you feed a good protein, you're then rebuilding out.
Sioux:
[32:55] Growth is uncomfortable. It is tearing apart what you know, what you've known, what you're comfortable with, what your body and mind have gotten used to. But it's bringing you back to your own truth and answers, which when you're doing that alone, it's easy to backtrack when you're with people around you who are also having similar thoughts or patterns or growth. It's a lot easier to stay calibrated with your vision because you're not carrying it by yourself but you're also not carrying like what's wrong with me and these thoughts nothing is you're human welcome to the human journey and let's do it with other people who also want to go on that growth expedition knowing that growth like, growth in the gym it's uncomfortable you're literally tearing apart what's known to step into what's new and deeper versions of yourself.
Peter:
[33:36] And I love that too with the gym analogy is something you always remind people of is saying to people because like we all know that. We all know what it's like. I think most of us have tried the gym at some point or if not, I know that everyone's experienced the time of like you've had to lift something really heavy or you've had a big day in the yard and whatever else. And you've just the next day you're going, crap, my body's really, really sore. Yeah, okay. That means, yeah. And it doesn't mean like we kind of go, sometimes you might have overdone it. But no, it's like your body's just going, okay, well, we need to step up and prepare for that level again.
Sioux:
[34:06] Yeah.
Peter:
[34:06] So, and that's what it's trying to do. But what most people don't realize or they kind of forget is that your heart is also a muscle.
Sioux:
[34:14] Yes.
Peter:
[34:15] And it's like, like I said, it's actually sending, you know, neural, aspects all the time and it's a muscle and it too will also need and be stretched and pulled apart a little bit, no different to it. And that muscle, like not always a physical one, but it can be the emotional and energetic one where it starts to tear. And that's where like we do it. And that's where it's important because that's what people don't realize. But that also needs that chance to heal, get stronger, repair. And sometimes because that's the invisible work, it makes it harder for people to go, oh, is someone going to understand this? Because it's so interesting. Like so many people with grief, because obviously a lot of my world's around the grief. And it's like, it's your journey. You'll come in its own time. It's not going to heal overnight. You know, it's just like, but you don't have to do it alone.
Sioux:
[35:06] Yeah.
Peter:
[35:07] And that can help speed up the recovery process or it can help you. And when you've got that growth, you know, I have one of the ladies in my current container, which is beautiful, she's like, she goes, I've realized the grief circle that she was in served its purpose.
Sioux:
[35:20] Yeah.
Peter:
[35:21] But then she's realized I didn't need it anymore. Even having that, she was like, I felt a little bit of guilt and shame about leaving because –, And so, even through that, it's amazing. Like, yes, this is really helpful. I was in it. But now I've kind of reached a point where enough has healed where it's like, oh, hang on. But staying here is actually doing more damage and allowing me to grow. And it's like, but then the guilt and shame of leaving because these other people haven't quite reached that point. So, all these things happen in life. So, you might be, anyone listening, you might be facing these things as well. But here's the thing.
Peter:
[35:54] The whole thing, and this is the beautiful part, is you don't have to do it alone. And you're not doing it alone. And this is why I love it. I've got the beautiful privilege of bringing two of my soul family back to Australia to bring the room together to actually do this. And this is – First.
Sioux:
[36:11] We're going to undo the room, Peter. Let's just be clear. Don't give the secrets away. Buckle up, but also –, I cannot.
Peter:
[36:20] Come on. People always say, like, I'm glad you got the same laugh as me. Like, we have this evil laugh when it comes to, like, yes, it's like we're going to put you apart.
Sioux:
[36:27] Because you know what's on the other side of it. You're like, oh, fuck, think. The growth, the transformation, it's like, ah, there you are. Not the version you pretended or put on, the facade, the mask. It's like there. But in order to get there, we had to break shit apart to remember who you actually are underneath all that stuff. So I totally interrupted you. I went evil.
Peter:
[36:46] That's so good. But listen to me, it's not, it's the same thing. It's like, it's not always intense. Sometimes people don't, if you're listening, I love talking about this because people say, I know that I didn't know what kind of rooms I was walking into when I first started that journey. And the important thing is don't have an expectation. Yeah, that's not the best. Because sometimes the biggest changes or the shifts that you feel are so subtle that... That you don't realize they've happened until you get back to your own room and your own company later, like six hours later, and you're going, something happened.
Sioux:
[37:27] Yeah.
Peter:
[37:27] Because it's not all, you know, big moments. It's literally it sits and it changes in you and then just over time it starts to reintegrate and your whole inner energy starts to recalibrate. And I love it because I know we all get a kick out of it because it's almost like, and you might see us, if you come along, you might see us there in the morning or the second day, we've got our arms crossed and we're just sipping on a coffee or tea. We're going, yep, they've changed. Yep, they've changed.
Sioux:
[37:55] And I think the coolest part is too, it is instantaneous change in the sense that once you've expanded your perspective or consciousness, it's that saying of like, once you see something, you can't unsee it. And now how you relate to whatever that was is different. And you never take that away. Then you just deepen it. So but I love what you said. The room and the spaces we create in our coaching and our programs and our events, you feel like you're with family. Like if you look at some of the testimonies at the end of that first event, it was just like, I've had the most healing and felt the most safe. Like it's not like, hey, it's more so a space to just like allow yourself to be you without all this conditioning, those concepts. But the fun part is there's so many things we don't actually know or are aware of because they're blind spots for a reason. So when you come into the space and you're doing this unfurling and you're getting asked questions of like, i've dealt with that and you're like oh shit no i haven't or it's these micro moments yes because once you expand consciousness or perspective, it's always expanded you can't ever not unsee that and then it just ripples apart to, every aspect of your life in different ways like you're talking about peter when you go home in your and the environment or the relationship that used to activate in a certain way you're like you're suddenly seeing it differently and you're like huh i'm now experiencing the same circumstance in quotations but differently.
Sioux:
[39:08] The circumstance maybe didn't change, but you changed. And as you change, your experience of consciousness changes. So it's just, yeah, It's beautiful because not only do we all do it and continue to do it and having your people to talk to and recognize you're not alone in it and there's nothing wrong with you. You're just in this like unfurling and you're kind of chewing on some things and having people, can you, I can't see this. Can you, it's like, you're just helping walk each other home, but you're home. No one else is home and no one knows that home, but you. And then back to your heart comment, everyone knows they're like, oh, I knew it. And that knowing is like a felt body experience, right? Whether it's leaving a job or relationship or a person or like, oh, I should have trusted this. It's a felt knowing that only you have access to and no one else can tell you or give you the blueprint for.
Peter:
[39:55] And I love that. And I think it's a perfect place to kind of like leave people with because the way you said it, and this is one thing when people will step into our world, and they allow themselves, literally allow themselves to participate in the work, you will start to feel, you will start to see things differently. And it is very, very true. Once you feel it and once you see it, you can't unsee it. You can't unfeel it. It does fundamentally shift and change you. And as Daniel was saying too, it literally shifts your perspective, understanding and how you are participating in your life from that moment forward. And it's a beautiful thing. And so, this is that one thing. And I just want to say, number one, thank you for your time today, Dania.
Sioux:
[40:50] Thank you.
Peter:
[40:51] Two, can't wait because it's only like another month before I see you and it's like great big hugs and massive catch-ups and all the rest.
Sioux:
[40:58] I know. I can't wait. The best.
Peter:
[41:00] And the other thing too is, guys, this is if you've heard us all the way through and you hang out, this is the thing. I'm just going to ask you and look at it this way. If you are prepared to actually finally be in a room and see yourself, like to unsee all the stuff that's been covering you up or unsee and unfeel all the things that have been distracting you from really what's kind of going on. Then come along. You know, Dania's going to be there. Nick's going to be there. You're going to have three beautiful perspectives in helping to get back to that space of remembering of who you really are and honoring that part of yourself. And we genuinely just want that for every soul that enters that room. So if it's calling to you, go and have a look at it. Go on inspirationalsoul.com, Soul Summit. Have a look at it. Put your name down. Grab a ticket. They'll come out next week. Once this one, this one, once this gets edited and released, that will be ready to roll.
Sioux:
[41:57] Really edits. Let's roll with it. Look at this. Let's just dive in.
Peter:
[42:01] Really unedited. But I love it. You know, so it's going to be there. But that's me. You will know if you're listening to this, you're hearing this, and there's little bits of part. I know you'll be, I just get this feeling because I know I'm speaking to someone right now because it's coming through the way it is. And I was like, you're listening to it and you go, I'm getting some of this. I'm understanding. But you're like, ah, but I'm not there. And you'd be like, it's just this half energy into it. But the whole thing is because now you've got to ask yourself, are you really ready to start seeing yourself? Are you really ready to allow yourself to be seen and heard and felt in the genuine way that you genuinely do want? So, if that is, if you're feeling and hearing me say that and you're feeling something in your body and there's like this yes kind of feeling, please trust it and come along and we'd love to have you in the room with us. and cannot wait.
Sioux:
[42:52] An honor and a privilege.
Peter:
[42:53] It will be.
Sioux:
[42:55] Yeah. Thanks for having me, Peter. I don't think you expect. We never, it's like we have a kind of game plan that's like tangent, Pandora's box, but.
Peter:
[43:03] We love it.
Sioux:
[43:03] Yeah, reach out and ask questions too if there's anything coming up for everyone, but it's just going back to trusting your own and your knowing of stuff. Like, you know, if you already feel a pull, it's just a matter of time and there happens to be an event coming up pretty soon. So get in the room.
Peter:
[43:16] Love it. Shift your. Get in the room And as another friend of mine says, if you ever get lost, just remember, fuck around and find out.
Sioux:
[43:24] Faffa, baby. Faffa. I need a tattoo.
Peter:
[43:28] My lived experience. Love it. Thanks, guys. And hopefully, looking forward in the next episode, guess what? It's going to go one step further because it's going to be Nick, Dunya, and myself on the one. I don't know how I'm going to manage three amazing voices trying to collab the conversation, but we're going to really kind of get in it. And I'll tell you what, if you thought like the single episodes with Nick and Dunya with Pandora's Box, wait until we're all in the same conversation. We'll see where it goes. But I look forward to having you there and listening to you when that comes.
Sioux:
[43:58] If they have questions, they should ask questions. We can answer on that podcast now. Is that possible?
Peter:
[44:02] We can do that.
Sioux:
[44:03] That could be cool if you have some questions.
Peter:
[44:05] I'll put it out there. It's not a problem. Okay. Peter's like, Daniel, shut up. See, this is the collab. I love working with you people. It's awesome. Thank you so much, guys. Thanks for tuning in. Thanks for listening. And again, thank you so much for your time, Daniel. And I cannot wait to have you back on. And we're going to get in the jam. And like I said, it won't be long. We'll be back in the physical room with a whole bunch of beautiful souls looking forward to it. Until then, thank you so much for tuning in and speak to you soon.
